Himanshu Khurana is the CTO of Powin, a global energy storage platform provider. With a 20+ year tenure in technology leadership, his career has been a continuous journey of innovation in industrial IoT, software, control systems, and digital transformation. Starting as a PhD and Principal Research Scientist in cybersecurity, focusing on control systems and smart grid, his academic roots laid the groundwork for a comprehensive understanding of technology's potential in real-world applications. The transition from academia to the corporate world in 2011, starting at Honeywell’s Global Research Labs, was a pivotal moment. His work in cybersecurity, video analytics, and control systems allowed him to apply academic insights to practical, real-world challenges. As the CTO and VP of Honeywell’s Building Solution business unit, his role expanded to encompass global strategy and digital transformation. Khurana's leadership in these areas was instrumental in bringing to market innovative solutions and services for Smart Buildings and Smart Cities, enhancing IoT platforms, and fostering strategic technology partnerships.
