Overview

Everest is a Parisian post-production studio that primarily operates in the hyper-demanding, fast-paced world of luxury fashion. Iconic clients, including Nike, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Dior, turn to Everest for post-production services such as editing, color grading, CGI, VFX, and AI experimentation. These brands demand flawless execution, with most projects on tight deadlines. The nature of the job requires intricate, agile, and adaptive production workflows that can be customized for each project, all powered and maintained by IT.

Learn how NinjaOne transformed Everest’s IT operations from a speed bump in the way of its creatives into an accelerator, ready to stomp the runways of Paris Fashion Week.

Challenge

Tight deadlines, high-stakes clients, no room for delays

Before NinjaOne, Everest’s IT processes were slow and manual; support was reactive, and fragmented tools handcuffed artists’ production workflows.

“We work in advertising. Turnaround time is short, and expectations are high,” explains Thomas Espinosa, co-founder and creative producer at 8849, a division of Everest. “Every hour you lose, especially during high-profile events like Paris Fashion Week, is crucial.”

Everest’s team of visual artists works with a range of post-production technology, including CGI and VFX, across Mac, Windows, and Linux devices. This setup creates a hybrid environment that previously relied on several disjointed tools to monitor, manage, and remediate, resulting in slow workflows and an unnecessarily complex IT infrastructure; this fractured visibility and weakened security.

“Our IT team would spend more than a day deploying a single asset to new hires, and the support team had to provide a lot of on-premises support,” remembers Yann Bialecki, Everest’s CISO. Tedious, manual workflows, impeded response times, and repetitive tasks disrupted their artists’ creative momentum, plus risked meeting deadlines. “Technology shouldn’t be in the way … artists should only focus on being creative,” says CTO Louis Jeckel.

These issues became increasingly stressful during periods of tight deadlines, with security and uptime being business-critical.

“During Fashion Week, everything is going so fast. We need to be sure that our creative artists’ devices — their laptops, desktops, software — are always updated and running,” explains Bialecki. “That’s why we really wanted to modernize with a better, unified solution.” Bialecki and Jeckel found that with NinjaOne.

Solution

Unified IT operations that catalyze creative excellence

As a creative studio working at the epicenter of luxury fashion, Everest built its reputation by producing work as iconic as its clients. While they never failed to deliver, outdated IT processes previously impeded the creative side of the house. Since switching to NinjaOne’s unified IT operations platform, IT has transformed into an accelerator that now empowers artists.

“Our IT team operates 50% faster with NinjaOne,” says Bialecki. “We needed to centralize, manage, monitor, and secure all our endpoints. And that’s what NinjaOne helps us do, in a single platform, we centralize all asset monitoring, deploy new software and patches, remediate remotely and manage vulnerabilities and security software. NinjaOne assists our team enormously.”

Thanks to built-in automation and a unified toolset, everything is streamlined. “It takes one click to deploy an automation, and everything is set up automatically,” adds Jeckel. As co-founder and a leader on the creative team, Espinosa has noticed and appreciates the difference: “The IT and dev team are essential to our operations. They build the backbone of the tools we use.”

Solution

Meaningful features that scale growth

Remarkably, Everest was able to increase IT efficiency without net-new hiring despite the company’s growth.

“Our company is growing so fast. We are expanding our headquarters in Paris and have more endpoints to manage; we can do so without needing additional IT headcount thanks to NinjaOne,” says Bialecki.

The additional benefit of having NinjaOne Remote as a native, built-in tool has further scaled IT operations. Thanks to reliable, instant remote access, Everest IT support teams no longer have to be on-premises to provide technical support.

“Everything runs fast and reliably. NinjaOne Remote is amazing. Compared to our previous remote tool, it actually works.”

Louis Jeckel, CTO

This has been an absolute game-changer for creative teams.

“We really have short turnovers, and our tech simply needs to work. Now, whenever we have a question, a ticket, a problem, the IT team can usually fix it in less than 10 minutes,” says Espinosa.

Additionally, NinjaOne macOS MDM enables Bialecki’s team to easily monitor and manage all Mac devices from the same single pane of glass.

“My favorite feature is NinjaOne macOS MDM because my goal is to secure all our Mac devices — not the easiest device to secure. However, with NinjaOne, we bring security profiles and deploy configurations to all our Macs fast and easily,” says Bialecki. Further touting tool consolidation, Bialecki loves the built-in CrowdStrike integration. “As a CISO, being able to access our antivirus tools within NinjaOne’s platform makes my job even easier.”

“We really use NinjaOne as an accelerator — our company is growing fast, and we need IT to keep up with that pace. NinjaOne enables us to do so,” says Bialecki, who considers NinjaOne a partner for long-term growth.
